BEWARE !!! LATEST SCAMS
1) THE EX EBAY SCAM. Someone is sending random e-mails to people saying he is an ex Ebay seller who has some chips left to sell When he gets the money he runs don't fall for this old trick.
2) FREE CHIP SCAM. Theres someone spamming tables offering free chips. They say all you have to do is fill in a form with your player name and password + the amount of chips you want and send mail to an email address supposedly connected to Pokerstars.
The email address is actually one of his own and he then accesses your account and steals whatever you have in it.
3) PAYPAL SCAM. There are people buying play chips and a lot of Pokerstars real cash using Paypal. They do not use Paypal funds and all purchases are with their credit cards. They then contact their card providers saying they did not make the purchases. Paypal then reverse the payments leaving you with a negative Paypal account balance which paypal ask you to pay. This has been used to our knowledge to purchase over $4,000 worth of items.
4) SPOOF EMAILS SCAM. There are a lot of spoof emails being sent to pokerstars and other poker site players saying that you need to update your info on your poker account. They ask you to fill in player name and password and other info and send it to them. They then access your account and steal all that you have. No poker site will ever ask you to send your password to them and if they want details updated they will ask you to do that when you sign in.
